ii). IN PROCESS QUALITY CONTROL
EQUIPMENT:

In order to monitor the quality of PF Resin (Phenol Formal Dehyde Resins Resol Type ). We have the following test equipment for on line testing.

GEL PLATE : 8" X 8" finely ground and hard platted gel plate with steam channels in order to maintain a constant temperature at 1500 or 1700 C.
The gel plate is used for testing the gelatin time of the PF-Resin which indicates the degree of polymerization. The sample of reaction mixture is drawn every 15 min during the reaction period and also in the final stages to adjust the required properties of the PF Resin.

R.I. Meter (Refractive Index ) : The Refractive index is used to monitor the degree of polymerization in the initial stages of the reaction period.

VISCOMETER FORD CUP NO.3 & 4: These are used to monitor the viscosity of the resin mixture after addition of the solvents and required additives.
