ii). IN PROCESS QUALITY CONTROL
EQUIPMENT:

In order to monitor the quality of Prepeg which is produced during the impregnation time the following test equipments are used.
|
|
Monopan Balance :To check the resin content of the Prepeg as per the predetermined values
|
|
Electrical Oven: To check the volatile combustible matter (V.C.M.) present in the Prepeg.
|
|
Flow Press: The Prepeg is tested for the free flow of the resin present in the Prepeg. Different flow figures which are recorded on % basis. The flow press is a 50 Ton capacity Hydraulic press with 2 platters maintained continuously at
150°C. A predetermined weight of the prepeg is subjected to specific pressure and to a temp of
150°C for constant time. Then the loss of weight and thickness are reported as flow in percentage basis.
